Project Manager (Terminals)

Location: Newport News, Virginia; hybrid work across corporate office and outdoor plant settings. Occasional travel to field and corporate locations outside the Hampton Roads area may be required, generally 0%–15%.

What you will do

• Lead capital, sustaining, reliability, regulatory compliance, and business development projects across multiple bulk terminal facilities.
• Manage project development, scope definition, engineering coordination, scheduling, estimating, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Coordinate with Terminal Operations, Commercial, Engineering, Maintenance, Inspection, Project Execution, and EHS teams.
• Oversee engineering, construction, inspection, consulting, contractor, vendor, and construction personnel resources.
• Develop design basis documents, scopes of work, execution plans, cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, funding requests, and project documentation.
• Support terminal infrastructure, tanks, marine facilities, material handling systems, piping, electrical distribution, instrumentation, SCADA, and automation projects while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering, or 5–7 years of progressively responsible project management experience in relevant industrial or infrastructure facilities.
• Experience with industrial, terminal, marine, petrochemical, bulk material handling, energy, pipeline, storage, or related infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of project scoping and estimating, cost and schedule control, design and construction management, procurement, inspection, permitting, and resource planning.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and relevant state regulations, plus industry standards such as NEC, ASME, API, NFPA, ASCE, ACI, and ASTM.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, AutoCAD, and related engineering or project management applications.
• Must be able to work in both a corporate office and outdoor plant environment, including work near water and at heights. A valid state driver’s license, acceptable driving record, physical work capability, and participation in a PHMSA-compliant drug testing program are required.

Nice to have

• NACE, API 570, API 510, API 653, AWS, or Professional Engineering certification.
• Marine, dock, tank repair, tank construction, permitting, and regulatory experience.
• Extensive AutoCAD, MS Visio, MS Project, and other engineering program experience.
