TL;DR
C# Developer (.NET/Azure/AWS): Building and supporting enterprise-level .NET applications for Veterans Affairs with an accent on C# backend development, REST APIs, SQL Server, automated testing, and CI/CD. Focus on designing scalable software components, integrating systems, tuning application performance, and implementing secure solutions within Agile development teams.
Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey, and New York will not be considered.
Salary: $85,389–$116,975 per year

What you will do
- Plan requirements, test strategies, software integration, deployment, operations, maintenance, and technical support.
- Develop and maintain full-stack solutions, including .NET and C# back-end applications, MVC components, APIs, and database integrations.
- Build reusable software components and long-term solutions within Agile frameworks.
- Implement unit testing, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and production support processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and development colleagues, participate in daily stand-ups, and conduct code reviews.
- Document software designs, data flows, modules, and technical solutions using tools such as Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git.
Requirements
- At least five years of software development experience using .NET technologies, with experience delivering complex enterprise-level applications and leading development initiatives.
- Strong expertise in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, MVC, object-oriented programming, design patterns, RESTful APIs, SQL Server, and Entity Framework.
- Experience with cloud platforms, version control, CI/CD, unit testing frameworks, DevOps, infrastructure as code, application security, and performance optimization.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or another engineering or technical discipline, with the experience level specified for the degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) and meet government security investigation requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with X.12 medical claims and EDI transactions such as 837, 834, and 277.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization with Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
