Sr. Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Scottsdale, with a hybrid work model; similar positions are located in San Francisco, Chicago, or New York. Candidates must already be eligible to work in the United States for any employer.

Salary: $118,000–$152,000 per year in Phoenix, AZ or Chicago, IL; $142,000–$183,000 per year in San Francisco, CA. Additional discretionary incentive plan and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Design, develop, document, test, deploy, and maintain applications and services using C# and the .NET platform.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, web services, and application components using modern .NET practices.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Build automated unit and integration tests and support CI/CD, deployment, and production operations.
• Troubleshoot complex defects, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, collaborate with product and engineering partners, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• Must independently possess eligibility to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent education and experience, with typically five years of relevant experience.
• Professional software development experience with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, SQL, relational databases, Git, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Understanding of object-oriented design, distributed architectures, asynchronous programming, concurrency, and multithreading.
• Experience with troubleshooting, secure development practices, code reviews, and Agile or Lean methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud application deployment.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, TDD or BDD, and automated functional, regression, performance, or integration testing.
• Experience supporting high-volume or highly available applications, observability tools, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy .NET applications.
