Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Japan; on-site customer support and travel within Japan and overseas are required

What you will do

• Install new or modified liquid and gas equipment at customer facilities and verify full functionality.
• Provide on-site technical assistance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Change liquid and gas canisters and coordinate the prompt return of empty cylinders and canisters.
• Maintain performance records and contribute to service handbooks and technical bulletins.
• Act as a communication link between customers and hirify.global to ensure effective service and customer satisfaction.
• Remain on duty by phone and provide 24-hour on-call support when required.

Requirements

• Two-year technical school degree in engineering, science, or chemistry is required; a four-year college degree is an advantage.
• 3+ years of experience in field support or field service for similar capital equipment is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer-interaction skills.
• Ability to travel within Japan and overseas.
• Commitment to technical training and maintaining professional engineering expertise.

Nice to have

• Experience with CVD, CMP, WET modules, electrical engineering, or process engineering.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry.
