MCR Technician (Wind Turbines)

Location: Onsite, based less than 45 minutes from an hirify.global base in Ireland, with frequent travel across Ireland and the UK and occasional international travel. Listed bases include Enniscorthy, Bantry, Moycullen and Ballina.

hirify.global develops and manufactures gearless wind turbines and technologies for rotor blades, control systems and grid connections.

What you will do

• Perform service, maintenance and major component exchanges on hirify.global wind turbines.
• Complete mechanical installation and turbine update work at wind energy sites.
• Inspect and verify components against manufacturing and quality standards.
• Follow safety standards and operational procedures while working at heights and in challenging weather.
• Coordinate with the Update Support Team and subcontractors to deliver projects on schedule.
• Travel frequently for projects lasting approximately 4–6 weeks, including occasional international assignments.

Requirements

• Full, clean driving licence, own vehicle and high mobility are required.
• Valid Safe Pass Card is essential.
• Experience on wind farm sites is highly advantageous.
• Trade qualification such as Carpenter or Mechanic, or a strong construction background.
• Physical fitness, comfort working at heights and ability to work in challenging conditions.
• MS Office proficiency, strong organisation, attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Nice to have

• Banksman/Slinger, CSCS Card, Telescopic Loader Ticket or MEWP certification.
