Senior Technician - Beatrice Offshore Windfarm (Offshore Wind)

Location: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; homeworking and teleworking are listed, with recurring offshore work at the Beatrice and Hywind wind farms.

What you will do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults on offshore wind turbines.
• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance, testing, commissioning, and verification of turbine systems.
• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly site activities, resources, spare parts, tools, equipment, and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians and coordinate contractors and subcontractors.
• Lead safety activities including risk assessments, site inspections, toolbox talks, safety briefings, incident reporting, and emergency response.
• Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, quality documentation, and technical records while supporting customer requirements and operational reviews.

Requirements

• Level 3 or higher qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, or an equivalent completed apprenticeship.
• GWO Basic Safety Training, including Sea Survival, Working at Height, First Aid, Fire Awareness, and Manual Handling.
• Significant wind turbine technician experience, preferably in offshore service, with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Full valid driving licence and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and motivating small teams and working with contractors or third-party service providers.
• Strong understanding of offshore safety standards, risk assessment, quality requirements, communication, and customer focus.
