Engineering, Maintenance and Services Manager

Location: Wolverhampton, UK; onsite at the laboratory campus. Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 19:00, with some weekend working and emergency call-outs as required.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams covering facilities maintenance, hygiene, stores, security and customer consumables logistics.
• Oversee planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and business continuity.
• Manage contractors, consultants and service providers, including safe working practices, service levels and contractor control.
• Maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, water, fire safety, utility and other building services systems.
• Provide hands-on technical support with fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair work.
• Manage budgets, KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operational support services.

Requirements

• Proven experience in engineering maintenance, building services leadership and management of engineering teams.
• HNC or HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, IOSH or NEBOSH, and Legionella Responsible Person duties.
• HVAC or refrigeration certification, or significant practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with electrical distribution, HVAC, boilers, chilled water, ventilation, plumbing, pumps, fire systems, BMS, control systems, lifting equipment and pressure systems.
• Experience with contractor control, permit-to-work systems, budgets, CAFM tools, PPM systems and complex mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
