Occupational Health Nurse

Location: Onsite in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, United States; 40 hours per week. Travel may include up to 5% domestic travel.

Salary: $95,591–$116,834 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay where eligible.

What you will do

• Provide direct care for workplace injuries and illnesses and refer employees to community healthcare providers when needed.
• Lead case and care management for occupational and non-occupational conditions, including return-to-work and disability management planning.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate medical surveillance and fitness-for-duty programs, including follow-up of results.
• Lead health and well-being initiatives for the site workforce, including health promotion programs and immunizations.
• Document worker medical encounters while maintaining medical confidentiality and compliance with medical practice standards.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin, or ability to obtain one readily.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• At least two years of experience using Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.
• Experience delivering nursing services in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Occupational health, hearing conservation, NIOSH spirometry, COHN or case management certification, and current BLS CPR certification including AED.
• Knowledge of disability management, ergonomics, ADA, HIPAA, FMLA, OSHA, workers’ compensation, nurse practice regulations, and medical surveillance requirements.
