Youth Education Navigator

What you will do

• Identify and engage high school-aged youth at risk of not completing a diploma, GED, HSED, or equivalent credential.
• Develop individualized education plans aligned with academic and career goals.
• Connect youth with tutoring, alternative credentialing, vocational training, precollege programs, and workforce readiness resources.
• Facilitate career exploration through job shadowing, internships, and related opportunities.
• Refer youth to life skills programs and provide ongoing encouragement and guidance.
• Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and W-2 staff while documenting services, progress, and outcomes.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in education, youth development, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience working with youth in educational or social service settings.
• Knowledge of secondary education systems and alternative credentialing pathways.
• Strong communication and motivational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality and comply with applicable laws and program regulations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with W-2 youth programs or similar initiatives.
• Familiarity with local education and youth development resources.
• Bilingual Spanish or Hmong skills.
