Senior System Configuration Analyst (ServiceNow)

Location: Hybrid Flex in Durham, with at least two days per week in the office; remote flexibility depends on the role and distance from the Durham headquarters. Candidates from outside the local area may be considered in states listed on the job posting.

Salary: $107,901–$172,642 annually, plus annual incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and manage the Configuration Management System, including the ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM modules.
• Lead CMDB upgrades, migrations, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.
• Design and maintain CMDB architecture, discovery patterns, data models, CI relationships, service mapping, and access controls.
• Integrate patching and vulnerability data across cloud, infrastructure, and containerized environments.
• Support AWS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift discovery capabilities while monitoring data quality, performance, and capacity.
• Partner with IT service teams, ServiceNow owners, and business stakeholders to align configuration data with service definitions and business outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a related field, or 7+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience working in a ServiceNow CMDB environment.
• Understanding of service mapping and business service relationships.
• Knowledge of AWS and container technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree, unless replaced by the applicable experience requirement.
• Ability to work in the Hybrid Flex arrangement, including at least two office days per week.

Nice to have

• ITIL or ITSM framework certification.
• ServiceNow and/or ITIL certification.
