Java Developer

Location: Onsite in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, United States

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java-based web applications.
• Write complex SQL queries and work with relational databases.
• Perform root-cause research and technical analysis.
• Develop batch jobs and web services.
• Apply MVC architecture and object-oriented design patterns.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization is required; eligible candidates include U.S. citizens, green card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates.
• New H-1B visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, including Java and J2EE application development.
• Experience with JSP, custom tag libraries, JavaScript, session EJBs, JDBC, and a Java IDE such as RAD 7.5 or later.
• Knowledge of Singleton, Factory, and DAO design patterns, MVC architecture, batch processing, and web services.
• Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.0 and relational databases, including DB2 and Oracle.

Nice to have

• Experience with WebSphere 8.0 running in a SUSE Linux 11 environment on VMware.
• Strong communication skills.
