Java Developer (AI)

Location: On site in Lone Tree, CO; Austin, TX; or Southlake, TX, United States

Salary: USD $48.08–$55.77 per hour, plus eligible bonus or incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and support the Enterprise Security Master platform, the source of record for securities reference and pricing data.
• Develop highly available and scalable distributed systems that process and distribute high-volume asset data.
• Translate business requirements into secure, reliable software solutions with product owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
• Analyze and resolve production issues while enhancing platform capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Apply robust testing, monitoring, deployment, and release practices.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs and contribute to AI-assisted and agentic software development practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Java development, software engineering, or enterprise application support.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing, building, testing, and supporting applications using modern engineering practices.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, scalable application architectures, cloud-based design, application security, and secure coding.
• Experience with production troubleshooting, unit and regression testing, test automation, CI/CD, release management, and deployment automation.
• Ability to work on site in one of the specified United States locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial services, securities, market data, or enterprise data management platforms.
• Familiarity with agentic AI workflows, prompt engineering, custom instructions, and AI-enabled automation.
• Experience with real-time data processing, data integration, or data pipelines.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, monitoring, observability, Agile development, or mentoring.
