Java Developer (AI)

Location: On-site in Southlake, TX or Austin, TX

Salary: USD $48.08–$55.77 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and support the Enterprise Security Master platform and its distributed systems.
• Develop secure, scalable, and highly available software for high-volume securities reference and pricing data.
• Translate business requirements into reliable technology solutions with product owners, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
• Analyze and resolve production issues while improving platform capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Apply monitoring, deployment automation, testing, and release management practices to maintain system reliability.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs and contribute to AI-assisted and agentic software development practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Java development, software engineering, or enterprise application support.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar tools.
• Experience designing, building, testing, and supporting applications using modern engineering practices.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, scalable architectures, cloud-based design, application security, and secure coding.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues, unit and regression testing, test automation, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
• Ability to work on site in Southlake, TX or Austin, TX.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial services, securities, market data, or enterprise data management platforms.
• Familiarity with agentic AI workflows, prompt engineering, AI-enabled automation, and real-time data processing.
• Experience with data integration, data pipelines, observability, root-cause analysis, or operational support frameworks.
• Mentoring experience and familiarity with Agile software development environments.
