Senior Repair Lifing Engineer (Gas Turbine)

What you will do

• Analyze gas turbine blades, vanes, and other service-exposed components using operational data and inspection findings.
• Simulate damage mechanisms with Finite Element Analysis and other tools to determine remaining useful life.
• Evaluate repair methods and their effect on component life and power plant reliability.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams developing improved designs, updating 3D CAD models, drawings, and product definitions.
• Validate analysis methodologies and design philosophies to improve long-term service contracts and reduce costs.
• Manage risks using statistical models and support customer meetings and urgent technical decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Experience creating CAD models and analyzing FEA models.
• Knowledge of fracture mechanics and programming languages is relevant to the role.
• Project management, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization is required.
