Mechanical Engineer (Gas Seals)

What you will do

• Support external customers on the design, manufacture, build, testing, and technical assessment of gas seal solutions.
• Evaluate in-house test failures and investigate dry gas seal designs to identify solutions.
• Perform and interpret engineering calculations, analyses, and computations.
• Use proprietary FEA software to investigate technical issues and create CAD concept sketches for design modifications.
• Prepare technical presentations and feedback for internal and external customers.
• Support commercial and development teams in customer meetings, point-solution development, and project coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Ability to read Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, general arrangement drawings, and detail drawings.
• Knowledge of controls, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Experience working independently, planning work, leading meetings, and delivering projects on time.
• Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.

Nice to have

• Experience with rotating equipment and precision engineering.
• Oil and gas industry experience, including forensic analysis.
• Previous failure analysis and root cause analysis experience.
