Senior Mechanical Engineer (Industrial)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, USA. On-site.

What you will do

• Lead complex mechanical projects in the Industrial Power and Process division from early programming through construction administration, focusing on utility generation and distribution systems.
• Design turbine, reciprocating, and steam-based power generation systems, hydronic systems, gas compression and distribution systems, building mechanical systems, site and facility arrangements, and industrial process facilities.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, drawings, specifications, and packages for Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects.
• Perform high-complexity engineering design, analysis, calculations, research, equipment selection, and applicable code review.
• Manage project schedules, quality, costs, client expectations, constructability, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Supervise and develop mechanical engineering staff while supporting proposals, business development, client relationships, manpower planning, and new opportunities.

Requirements

• Ten or more years of relevant experience.
• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Project management experience.
• Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies.
• Knowledge of project approach and system design.
• Willingness to build and maintain client relationships.
