Quality and Product Assurance Manager (Space Hardware & Software)

Location: Harwell, UK. Hybrid arrangement with required office/lab attendance at least 2–3 days per week; longer consecutive periods on site may be required during qualification test campaigns.

What you will do

• Create and continuously improve processes for developing and producing high-performance space hardware and software.
• Drive quality and product assurance across operations, facilities, production, and supply chain activities.
• Support the industrialization of next-generation satellites.
• Establish cross-departmental processes and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent customer needs in product and service design, development, and delivery.
• Identify improvement opportunities that increase efficiency, reliability, and product quality.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems applied to the space sector.
• Practical knowledge of ECSS standards and ISO 9001.
• Ability to identify and manage quantified risks and make decisions in a changing environment.
• Strong communication skills and experience managing and motivating people.
• Proactive, autonomous, and self-directed approach to work.
• Ability to use logic, analysis, and experience to solve problems effectively.
