Site Quality Manager - Nuclear

Location: Bridgwater, United Kingdom; South West UK. Site-based role in a highly regulated nuclear environment.

What you will do

• Lead quality control for manufacturing and installation activities and act as the primary quality contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Promote Right First Time practices and develop Nuclear Safety Culture behaviours.
• Manage and continuously improve Inspection and Test Plans, project procedures, and Business Management System compliance.
• Oversee NDT inspections, dimensional checks, welding quality activities, supplier performance, and associated records.
• Manage Lifetime Quality Records and lead investigations into non-conformances, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and progress tracking.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Control team while supporting project teams and the Senior Project Quality Manager.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Management.
• Significant experience in the UK nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality processes, inspections, quality assurance, welding requirements, welder qualifications, and NDT activities.
• Experience managing quality documentation and Lifetime Quality Records, investigating non-conformances, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Proven leadership, team development, stakeholder management, and client-facing communication experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Nice to have

• Recognised quality qualification.
• CSWIP, PCN, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or similar certification.
• Experience on large-scale nuclear projects.
• ISO 19443 knowledge.
