Senior Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and support a small quality team.
• Embed health and safety and robust quality processes across the Manchester site.
• Own customer quality issues, product returns, repairs, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Use 8D, Lean, and data-driven quality KPIs to improve operational performance.
• Lead product, process, system, and supplier audits while improving inspection and verification processes.
• Support new product introduction and reduce the cost of poor quality from design through production.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a senior quality role.
• Strong experience with quality management systems, including ISO 9001, 8D/RCA, and Lean Six Sigma DMAIC.
• Customer-facing experience with knowledge of non-conformance reporting and management.
• Experience with PPAP, CAPA, 5 Whys, SPC, Pareto analysis, statistical data, and structured problem-solving.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and experience with tier reporting and MRP/ERP systems.
• Experience in a prescriptive environment such as oil and gas, aerospace, automotive, nuclear, projects, or infrastructure.

• PED and ATEX certifications.
