Mechanical Technician I - 2nd Shift (HVAC/R)

Location: Sidney, Ohio, USA; fully onsite with no hybrid or remote work

Salary: $2.50 per hour shift differential; eligible for voluntary overtime

What you will do

• Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to performance-test variable-speed compressors.
• Set up compressors, electronics, variable-speed drives, calorimeters, mass-flow stands, and data-acquisition systems.
• Operate laboratory measuring equipment and review test data against applicable standards.
• Fabricate test fixtures and controls for non-standard tests.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities, complete required testing, and communicate results to engineers.
• Suggest process improvements to increase laboratory efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree plus three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic systems.
