HVAC Technician (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Menands, New York, United States. Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with rotational on-call coverage for site emergencies.

Salary: $24.76-$44.42 per hour

What you will do

• Start up, operate, monitor, shut down, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Maintain coolers, freezers, ultra-low-temperature freezers, refrigeration chillers, chilled water systems, condenser pumps, and air compressors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial air handling systems and facility equipment.
• Operate the facility-wide building automation system and conduct daily equipment rounds.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned work with Facilities Management departments and external contractors or vendors.
• Maintain safe, efficient operations in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs, GDPs, and quality standards.

Requirements

• AAS degree and relevant experience; HVAC Technician II requires 2+ years, while HVAC Technician III requires 5+ years or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with AC, heating, chilled water systems, building automation controls, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of industrial HVAC systems, including industrial air handling units.
• EPA certification for refrigeration gases.
• Ability to become fully gown-qualified for work in production areas.
• Experience with electronic, PLC, mechanical, and building automation systems in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
