Sr. Specialist, Information Process Planner (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; based at the hirify.global location with 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, events, and occasional travel are required.

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, document, and continuously improve inbound logistics processes covering supplier integration, material planning, transportation, and information flows.
• Collaborate with Scout IT and Volkswagen Group IT to translate logistics business requirements into system and process solutions.
• Support the implementation, testing, and stabilization of SAP logistics processes and related digital solutions, including User Acceptance Testing.
• Develop consignment inventory concepts and processes for inventory ownership, material tracking, reconciliation, and replenishment across suppliers, warehouses, and logistics partners.
• Improve supply chain visibility, reporting, communication concepts, and material availability across the extended network.
• Coordinate with Logistics Operations, Material Planning, Purchasing, Production Control, Manufacturing, IT, suppliers, and logistics providers while communicating project status, risks, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Process Planning, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may substitute.
• 8+ years of professional experience in Logistics or IT, ideally in the automotive industry.
• Experience implementing or maintaining SAP systems on the logistics business or IT side.
• Experience designing cross-departmental information flows and managing inventory ownership, material visibility, and replenishment across multi-tier supply chain networks.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and project-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of production environments and complex IT systems.
