Manager, Software Engineering (Finance & Investments Technology)

Location: Hybrid in Columbus, Ohio, with in-office presence two days per week; candidates must live within a commutable distance.

Salary: $118,000–$178,000 expected starting range; national range $118,000–$222,000 annually.

What you will do

• Manage the Real Estate and Alternatives Asset Management application suite within Finance & Investments Technology.
• Lead a team of five or more technology professionals and develop talent through coaching and feedback.
• Guide application roadmaps based on business needs, technology currency, competitive factors, and information security.
• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Manage application health, total cost of ownership, risk controls, audits, availability, and resiliency.
• Partner with business and technology leaders on portfolio planning, financial management, and delivery outcomes.

Requirements

• Six years of experience in application suite management.
• Four or more years leading multiple teams across different technologies.
• Experience building and empowering engaged technology teams.
• Knowledge of systems development lifecycles, modern delivery methodologies, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ability to develop roadmaps, make decisions with incomplete information, and deliver within tight timeframes.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employer-sponsored work authorization and STEM OPT Extension sponsorship are not available.

Nice to have

• Undergraduate studies in management information systems, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or comparable experience.
• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge.
• Experience with SRE, Agile practices, operational metrics, and build metrics.
