Mueller Shipping Lead

Location: Onsite in St. Pauls, NC, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate daily domestic and international shipping activities to meet production and delivery schedules.
• Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries, track shipments, and resolve delays, missing items, incorrect addresses, and other shipping errors.
• Process inventory, invoicing, shipping transactions, documentation, and reports in the ERP system.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Lead Gemba walks and daily meetings to support continuous improvement and team engagement.
• Train and mentor shipping employees and provide coverage for the Shipping Supervisor when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control.
• Experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as QAD, SAP, or Oracle and with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the St. Pauls, NC manufacturing facility and successfully establish employment eligibility, complete background checks, and pass required pre-employment testing.

Nice to have

• Supervisory or lead experience in receiving or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
