Area Shipping Supervisor (Logistics)

What you will do

• Lead daily shipping, receiving, picking, packaging, and outbound distribution to support accurate, on-time customer deliveries.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and workflow priorities while meeting safety, quality, productivity, and service goals.
• Manage shipping and inventory transactions in SAP and warehouse management systems.
• Monitor staffing, shipment volumes, work in progress, and operational performance metrics.
• Coach shipping associates and promote accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Drive safety compliance, audits, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, Lean, 5S, Kaizen, capital projects, and logistics technology improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution operations.
• Leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Experience with SAP, WMS, or similar inventory and shipping management systems.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety, quality, inventory control, and operational standards, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, manage multiple priorities, and support on-call operational needs.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor, advanced materials, specialty chemicals, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or related continuous improvement methods.
• Forklift or material handling equipment certification.
• Experience with capital projects, warehouse optimization, or new logistics technology implementation.
