Low Latency Engineer (C++)

What you will do

• Work with traders, quantitative researchers, and C++ engineers to understand requirements and improve trading algorithms and architecture.
• Identify and eliminate code inefficiencies in high-throughput network applications to reduce latency by micro- and nanoseconds.
• Build monitoring tools for components involved in round-trip exchange latency using ClickHouse and Grafana.
• Deploy, monitor, tune, and maintain systems through completion.
• Investigate performance opportunities and solve operational and technical problems with a hands-on approach.

Requirements

• Extensive experience developing C++ low-latency systems in a trading environment.
• Deep understanding of modern computer architecture and high-performance code design.
• Expertise in configuring and optimizing network and server components, including Arista, Cisco Nexus, and Cisco Fusion network cards.
• Experience with hardware performance counters, profiling tools, fast packet processing in user space, and kernel-bypass technologies such as Solarflare OpenOnload, TCPDirect, ef_vi, Exablaze, InfiniBand verbs, or DPDK.
• Strong code quality, ownership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Comfort using AI-assisted tools in engineering workflows.

• Knowledge of network switches.
• Experience collaborating with FPGA engineers.
