Product Engineer (Mechanical Design)

Location: Hybrid role based in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, with around three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Develop and improve mechanical components and assemblies for new heating and climate products.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Translate technical requirements into manufacturable designs and supplier specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations, design validations, prototype support, and testing activities.
• Work with suppliers, procurement, quality, production, testing, validation, and electronics teams.
• Support products through the full development process from concept to series production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 3–8 years of experience in product development, product engineering, or mechanical design.
• Solid experience with 3D CAD models and technical manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals.
• Good communication skills in English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or another 3D CAD package.
• Experience with Teamcenter or another PLM system.
• Experience with engineering validation, tolerance calculations, DFMEA, FEM, or simulations.
• Dutch language skills.
