Junior Mechanical Engineer (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Create 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings based on designs from senior mechanical engineers.
• Develop component concepts from scientists into manufacturable designs and verify manufacturability.
• Manage procurement processes for mechanical components.
• Support hands-on prototyping, including 3D printing and small-scale CNC machining.
• Collaborate with the mechanical engineering group while taking ownership of assigned R&D tasks and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous internship experience in a mechanical engineering role.
• Knowledge of fundamental mechanical engineering concepts.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or Onshape; experience with multiple CAD tools is valued.
• Hands-on mechanical interests and a proactive, collaborative approach to learning and working with senior engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with fabrication, 3D printing, hobby machining, or other personal mechanical projects.
