Senior Director, Finance, ITP Upstream (Medtech)

Location: Deerfield, Illinois, United States; hybrid work with a required minimum number of onsite days per week

Salary: $200,000–$275,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead upstream finance for an approximately $7 billion externally reported global division within the Medical Products & Therapies segment.
• Partner with global leaders in Marketing, Business Development, Research & Development, and Supply Chain on portfolio strategy, growth, margin expansion, and cash flow.
• Evaluate new product development investments, business cases, product launches, licensing opportunities, partnerships, and inorganic growth initiatives.
• Guide R&D spending, manufacturing capacity, sourcing, demand planning, inventory, capital expenditure, headcount, and other investment decisions.
• Lead annual operating plans, long-range plans, integrated business planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage and develop a team of 4–5 employees while influencing cross-functional and matrixed teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership in complex, global, and matrixed organizations.
• Strong capabilities in financial analysis, decision support, strategic planning, capital allocation, investment evaluation, and business performance management.
• Experience evaluating strategic investments, business development activities, innovation portfolios, and resource allocation decisions.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, tax considerations, financial governance, and legal accounting requirements.
• MBA, CPA, or an equivalent advanced business or finance qualification is preferred.
