Assistant Resort Manager (Hospitality)

Location: Yamba, Australia; onsite role. Permanent onsite accommodation is not available, so candidates should already live locally or plan to relocate to the area. Temporary accommodation assistance may be available for relocation.

What you will do

• Support the Resort Manager with day-to-day operations across the resort.
• Lead, coach and develop teams to deliver strong guest experiences.
• Coordinate with departmental leaders on rostering, workforce planning and operational priorities.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training.
• Monitor operational performance, labour costs and departmental budgets.
• Work across Food & Beverage, Events and Day Spa operations, resolve guest concerns and maintain service, presentation, safety and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in a boutique resort, hotel or premium hospitality environment.
• Experience across multiple departments within a resort, hotel or tourism business.
• Exposure to Food & Beverage, Events and Functions operations.
• Strong people management, communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Experience handling guest feedback, labour management, budgeting and cost control.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety and employment compliance requirements, with a hands-on approach.
