Facilities Manager

Location: Brisbane City (South Bank) campus, Australia; primarily campus-based with work-from-home options and potential work across other Griffith locations. Full unrestricted Australian work rights are required.

Salary: AUD 147,057.74 base plus 17% superannuation; full package AUD 172,057.55.

What you will do

• Lead facilities management services across campus, including maintenance, cleaning, security, fire safety, traffic management, waste, hygiene, pest control, space management, and specialist contracted services.
• Manage facilities teams, contractors, budgets, resources, service performance, and contractual obligations.
• Analyse operational data and business metrics to improve asset condition, maintenance, cleaning standards, and service delivery.
• Develop operational and capital works programs and support new and refurbished facilities from planning through handover.
• Coordinate campus shutdowns, site access, traffic management, construction safety, emergency response, and business continuity activities.
• Review and improve facilities policies, processes, systems, and operational frameworks while supporting consistent service delivery across campuses.

Requirements

• At least five years of facilities management experience across hard and soft services.
• Extensive management expertise and project management experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in the education sector, including events, customer-facing services, and stakeholder engagement.
• Full unrestricted Australian work rights are required.
• Willingness to undergo a National criminal history check.
