Senior Procurement Specialist, US

Location: Full-time on-site presence five days a week in Santa Clara, California, United States. Frequent domestic and international travel is required; this is not a remote or hybrid position.

Salary: USD 120,000–160,000 base salary per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end procurement for US operations, including sourcing components and servers, issuing RFQs, evaluating quotations, negotiating pricing, placing orders, and reconciling invoices.
• Develop sourcing strategies for hardware categories, identify vendors, and build supplier relationships and competitive supply options.
• Manage supplier performance, lead times, issue escalation, RMAs, and day-to-day commercial relationships.
• Coordinate data center logistics, customs clearance, freight forwarding, shipment tracking, and delivery issue resolution.
• Support CAPEX planning and procurement forecasting with the Finland-based procurement team and Finance.
• Review procurement contracts and supply agreements covering delivery terms, SLAs, liability, and price escalation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management within hardware, technology infrastructure, or data center environments.
• Hands-on experience procuring GPU servers, AI accelerators, or related data center hardware, with familiarity with server ODMs and OEMs.
• Experience managing procurement independently from purchase request through delivery confirmation and invoice reconciliation.
• Strong negotiation skills covering hardware supply agreements, volume pricing, and delivery terms.
• Experience with international shipping, customs clearance, Incoterms, freight forwarding, and commercial contracts.
• Professional proficiency in Chinese/Mandarin and English, plus full-time on-site availability in Santa Clara.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Asian supply chains and ODM/OEM procurement from Taiwan, Japan, or mainland China.
• Experience in a scaling startup or high-growth environment.
• Japanese or a major European language.
