Commodity Sourcing Manager (AI Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid; presence required 4 days per week in the San Jose, San Francisco, or Bellevue office. Work from home day is Tuesday.

Salary: $203,000–$271,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Own sourcing strategies for assigned commodities across the AI infrastructure stack, including semiconductors, GPUs and CPUs, networking, power and cooling systems, memory, and storage.
• Lead commercial negotiations covering supply agreements, capacity commitments, pricing, cost reductions, NRE, design and tooling, service, quality, and performance terms.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, business reviews, scorecards, escalations, and performance improvement plans.
• Partner with Engineering, Hardware, Supply Chain Planning, Finance, Legal, and Operations on capacity planning, product introductions, qualification timelines, and infrastructure ramps.
• Develop supply continuity, diversification, second-source, cost optimization, and risk mitigation plans.
• Provide leadership with market intelligence and recommendations on supply risk, cost trends, and sourcing strategy.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• Experience with hardware or component categories relevant to data center or compute infrastructure.
• Experience negotiating and managing supply agreements with manufacturers, OEMs, or ODMs.
• Track record of leading complex commercial negotiations and delivering measurable cost and supply outcomes.
• Strong analytical, financial, business, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience operating in constrained, long-lead-time, high-growth supply environments.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing across multiple commodity types in AI/ML or hyperscale data center infrastructure.
• Experience supporting hyperscale data center or AI infrastructure programs.
• Experience with NRE, qualification, or co-development agreements alongside hardware and systems engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
