Head of Bids (Public Transport)

Location: Fully remote for candidates based in Canada

hirify.global develops fare collection platforms that enable passengers to buy and present public transport tickets through mobile phones, ticket machines, and contactless bank cards. Its Justride platform is used in more than 250 locations worldwide.

What you will do

• Lead competitive bids from qualification through submission, clarifications, and award.
• Own pricing and commercial strategy, balancing win probability and margin.
• Run bid governance and present risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Coordinate Product, Engineering, Services, Legal, Finance, Business Development, and external partners.
• Build the bids function, including people, processes, content, tooling, and AI-enabled ways of working.
• Plan bid resourcing and coach and develop the bids team.

Requirements

• Experience winning high-value, competitive bids and leading bids or proposals teams.
• Ability to develop and explain pricing strategies and commercial decisions.
• Experience presenting bid risks to senior leadership and making pursue-or-decline recommendations.
• Understanding of sales and procurement, with the ability to manage multiple bids accurately under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication, collaboration, decision-making, and people-development skills across teams, time zones, and countries.
• Curiosity about AI and experience experimenting with AI tools in work or learning.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with public procurement for technology solutions.
• Experience in public transport, mobility, or another regulated, tender-led sector.
• Additional languages.
• Experience improving bid tooling, content libraries, or knowledge management.
