TL;DR
SPS Engineering Lead (Subsea Production Systems): Leading engineering activities and technical delivery for subsea trees, wellheads, running tools, installation equipment, and SPS control systems across EPFS execution with an accent on supplier management, technical integrity, and multidisciplinary offshore interfaces. Focus on reviewing complex engineering documentation, managing technical risks and non-conformances, and supporting fabrication, testing, commissioning, and offshore installation.
Location: Bristol, United Kingdom; resident assignment in London, UK, then Baku, Azerbaijan, five days per week

What you will do
- Lead and coordinate SPS engineering activities throughout EPFS execution.
- Act as the primary engineering focal point for subsea trees, wellheads, running tools, installation equipment, SPS hardware, and control systems.
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate SPS engineers and technical specialists, including workload and deliverable management.
- Manage contractor and supplier engineering performance, technical reviews, procurement support, and contractual compliance.
- Review engineering calculations, analyses, procedures, design documentation, technical queries, non-conformances, concessions, and design deviations.
- Coordinate engineering support for manufacturing, FAT, SIT, EFAT, IST, commissioning, start-up, handover, and offshore installation campaigns.
Requirements
- Degree or master’s qualification in drilling, subsea, mechanical engineering, or a relevant recognized discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas projects, including at least 10 years in subsea production systems.
- Detailed knowledge of subsea systems, subsea hardware, subsea drilling, and SPS package delivery.
- Experience leading SPS engineering teams on major offshore developments and managing suppliers, contractors, and multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Knowledge of API, ISO, DNV, and applicable subsea industry standards, plus experience with EPC/EPFS execution, FAT, SIT, EFAT, and offshore commissioning.
- Fluent English is mandatory.

- Previous experience with Baker Hughes SPS systems.
- Previous TotalEnergies experience.
- Experience with Caspian Sea developments.
