Senior Software Engineer Flight Control (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop embedded C software for flight control functions.
• Work across the full V-cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, verification, and testing.
• Derive low-level requirements from high-level requirements and maintain traceability from requirements through code and tests.
• Create, review, and execute unit, developer, and requirements-based software tests.
• Perform debugging and integration testing with Trace32, Lauterbach, and similar tools.
• Support software assurance, quality assurance, audits, process compliance, static analysis, and DO-178C activities.

Requirements

• Degree in aerospace engineering, software engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Strong experience developing embedded C software across the full V-cycle.
• Experience with UML, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, VectorCAST or equivalent, DOORS, Git, Jenkins, Jira, and static analysis tools such as Polyspace, Coverity, or Astrée.
• Solid knowledge of DO-178C, requirements traceability, software verification, and Software Assurance and Quality Assurance processes.
• Knowledge of FMS/FMC, flight control systems, ARINC standards, DAL levels, and aerospace certification processes.
• Preparedness to undergo enhanced security clearance Level Ü2 under the Security Clearance Act is required; current Level Ü2 clearance is an advantage. Professional English is required; German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, RTOS, and aerospace projects.
• Experience with Flight Control Systems, FMS/FMC, ARINC standards, DAL levels, and certification processes.
• Current Level Ü2 security clearance.
