Software Developer / Architect for Embedded Real-Time Software (Aerospace)

Location: Manching, Germany; onsite. Applicants must be EU citizens or eligible to obtain a work permit for Germany. The position is subject to export control.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded avionics software for aerospace systems.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to integrate software into avionics systems.
• Apply aviation standards and safety-critical software development practices.
• Perform mission system integration activities on project hardware.
• Test, validate, and verify software against aerospace requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s or Diplom degree in Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT/Information Systems or Aerospace Engineering.
• Proven embedded software development experience in avionics or aerospace applications.
• Experience with C, C++, and/or Ada, plus real-time operating systems such as VxWorks.
• Knowledge of avionics standards including ARINC 653 and DO-178C, virtualization technologies, hardware architectures, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Fluent English is mandatory; applicants must have EU citizenship or be eligible for a German work permit.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of German.
• Experience with x86, ARM, and RISC-V hardware architectures.
