Future Opportunities: SR&ED Consultant (Finance & Innovation Performance)

Location: Canada; offices in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and Etobicoke. Hybrid work with work from home 3 days per week and up to 1 month from anywhere in the world.

Base salary: 75,000–95,000 CAD per year, plus bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Evaluate client projects and activities for eligibility under the SR&ED tax incentive program.
• Plan, organize, and execute SR&ED claims, including interviews with technical personnel.
• Structure projects according to government criteria and prepare technical reports for eligible expenditures.
• Evaluate client documentation systems, train staff, and develop strategies to maximize claim benefits.
• Advise and represent clients during CRA reviews of SR&ED claims.
• Identify additional funding programs, tax credits, grants, and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, robotics, automation, mechanical engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
• Prior consulting experience; SR&ED experience is an asset.
• Proven experience managing client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
• Result-driven, client-focused, reliable, and able to work with integrity.
