Analyst (Education)

Location: Hamburg, Germany; hybrid work. Work from abroad is available for up to 30 calendar days per year.

What you will do

• Work on collaborative education-sector projects with international clients and media partners.
• Maintain and further develop education rankings and data products, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Support ranking project management, data quality control, and transparent outcomes while gradually taking on direct customer contact.
• Research and analyze primary and secondary data from education institutions in multiple countries.
• Plan, implement, and analyze international education-sector surveys.
• Present results in Excel and PowerPoint and contribute ideas for new data products and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Social Science, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience may also be considered.
• 1–2 years of experience in data analysis or project management, ideally in education research or a related field.
• Experience supporting data-driven insight projects and an understanding of current education trends and policy landscapes.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, initiative, curiosity, and a high-quality standard.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially advanced Excel.
• Fluent English required; German or other languages are a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in programming languages such as Python.
• Background in institutional research, strategic planning, or education research.
