Data Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Home-based in England, UK; remote team with occasional in-person collaboration

What you will do

• Analyse and interpret large datasets to support commercial and operational decisions during a policy administration system migration.
• Assess data and processes required to migrate the client base to the new system.
• Monitor business KPIs and customer impacts before and after migration, identifying potential issues and risks.
• Investigate and escalate data quality issues, migration risks, defects, and performance impacts.
• Validate data integrity, completeness, and accuracy across legacy and target systems during migration testing.
• Improve reporting, dashboards, and analytical processes while communicating actionable insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong SQL and Databricks skills.
• Experience with personal lines insurance products, insurance datasets, and policy administration systems.
• Experience investigating and resolving data anomalies and defects.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-starter able to work effectively on complex projects and collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, technology partners, and vendors.

Nice to have

• Python experience.
• Experience with Acturis or Applied Epic data.
• Experience in insurance broking.
• Experience supporting system migrations, transformation programmes, or large-scale change initiatives.
