Business Controller (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid working arrangement with on-site work at the Yokohama office in Yokohama, Japan

What you will do

• Oversee accounts payable, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain planning and budgeting systems.
• Prepare financial and management reports for senior management.
• Analyze financial trends and highlight issues requiring management attention.
• Identify opportunities and develop action plans with divisional management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business; MBA is desirable and CPA certification is preferred.
• 15 years of experience in finance, accounting, or business control within an industrial equipment manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Understanding of contracts, terms and conditions, and associated financial risks.
• Native-level Japanese and good business English are required.
• Information systems knowledge, including Microsoft tools, plus an understanding of equipment functions and customer markets.
