Building Maintenance Supervisor (HVAC)

Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, Canada; regular full-time, onsite facility role.

What you will do

• Develop the annual building maintenance plan and justify related expenses.
• Supervise employees, contractors, suppliers, and workers from multiple trades.
• Set maintenance priorities and coordinate troubleshooting for HVAC and building mechanical systems, including pumps, fans, and control systems.
• Introduce small improvement projects for water, ventilation, and other mechanical systems.
• Establish facility life cycles and preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Obtain repair estimates, plan capital expenditures, coordinate materials and inventory, and compare contractor bids.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or DEC/AEC in mechanics or electricity, plus five years of relevant experience supervising a building maintenance team.
• Understanding or formal training in HVAC and building mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of environmental control systems, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
• Problem-solving, administration, document management, computer, and work-planning skills.
• Interpersonal, communication, and personnel-management skills in a unionized environment.
• Good oral and written French and English are required for communication with local and external suppliers. Applicants must comply with the Controlled Goods Program.
