Sr. Systems Engineer (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY; the role may also be based in East Aurora, NY or Arvada, CO.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design specialized hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic test equipment.
• Define systems architecture and interfaces, develop system-level requirements, and support requirements decomposition.
• Lead test equipment design and provide technical leadership within program scope.
• Use MATLAB and Simulink to model system performance and manage system margins.
• Perform hardware correlation, system integration, verification testing, and test equipment assembly support.
• Coordinate work and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coaching, guiding, training, or providing technical leadership to engineers is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information requires eligibility to work with controlled U.S. technical data.

• Experience with DOORS and Cameo.
