Field Service Engineer (Chemistry/Hematology)

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States; fully remote from home with overnight travel within the territory, primarily Portland, required approximately 15% of the time

Salary: $33.65–$38.00 per hour, plus eligible bonus/incentive pay and housing allowance.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on Beckman Coulter diagnostic equipment.
• Service automation, immunoassay, chemistry, urinalysis, clinical IT, microbiology, and hematology platforms.
• Provide efficient customer service and technical product training.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal records, order repair parts, and follow service cycle times.
• Use OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning and team objectives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and help train newer Field Service Engineers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, military experience, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, or instrumentation.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to travel overnight within the territory approximately 15% of the time.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modification, or service repair experience.
• Experience developing business relationships that improve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Technical college education in biomedical technology, engineering, or a related field.
