MRI Training Technologist III (MRI)

Location: Canada; travel required up to 65% of the year. Weekday, weeknight, and weekend scheduling may be required.

Salary: CAD 110,000–125,000 annually, depending on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and continuously improve MRI training curricula covering protocols, scanner operation, positioning, safety, quality assurance, and patient care.
• Build standardized onboarding, competency, continuing education, assessment, and learning pathways for MRI technologists across multiple clinics and MRI platforms.
• Evaluate trainee proficiency through observation, practical assessments, image-quality review, simulation, and other competency methods.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, development plans, and clinical guidance to MRI technologists, clinic managers, and future educators.
• Support protocol optimization, workflow improvement, new imaging technologies, software, AI-enabled tools, and quality and safety initiatives.
• Travel to clinics to deliver training, support new clinic openings, assess competency, and help scale clinical education across North America and internationally.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology, education, healthcare administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• MRI technologist certification such as CAMRT, ARRT, or ARMRIT, with at least 7 years of progressive clinical MRI experience.
• Experience with advanced MRI techniques, protocol optimization, workflow improvement, clinical leadership, and MRI education or competency programs.
• Strong knowledge of MRI physics, imaging principles, patient positioning, image quality, MRI safety, clinical workflow, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
• Experience with instructional design, adult learning, competency assessment, learning management systems, digital learning, simulation, or technology-enhanced education.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire and must not require current or future employer visa sponsorship. Willingness and ability to travel are required.
