Clinical Diabetes Specialist - Ottawa/Kingston, Ontario

Location: Remote home office in Ontario, Canada; territory covering Ottawa and Kingston, with travel to Peterborough as needed. Travel within the assigned territory is required at least 80% of the time.

Salary: C$98,000–C$122,000 annual base pay, with target earning potential of C$128,000–C$152,000 annually.

What you will do

• Promote and sell Tandem diabetes products and clinical services within the assigned territory.
• Deliver pump training and diabetes education to people with diabetes and healthcare professionals.
• Educate physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, endocrinologists, and other healthcare professionals on insulin pump therapy.
• Identify sales leads, build professional relationships, and support territory forecasting and business planning.
• Troubleshoot clinical and technical customer issues and coordinate post-sale education with technical support.
• Maintain CRM records, sales reports, customer information, expenses, and required company documentation.

Requirements

• RN, RD, RPh, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience, with maintained registration and licensure.
• At least 2 years of clinical diabetes experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education programs.
• Clinical education in insulin pump therapy, diabetes self-management, blood glucose monitoring, carbohydrate counting, medication management, infusion sites, complications, and emergency management.
• Strong communication, presentation, coaching, customer support, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools; familiarity with CRM software is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in Canada; visa sponsorship is not available. A valid driver’s license, required auto insurance, and a good driving record are required.

Nice to have

• Certified Diabetes Educator certification.
• At least one year of related industry experience in diabetes or endocrinology.
