Advanced Care Paramedic (Emergency Medical Services): Providing immediate treatment, patient assessment, and transportation in Central Alberta with an accent on advanced care practice, emergency response, and ambulance safety. Focus on making clinical decisions, leading shifts, documenting patient care, and extricating patients from hazardous environments.
Location: Innisfail, Alberta, Canada. Onsite emergency medical services role with day shifts from 06:00–18:00 and night shifts from 18:00–06:00.
Salary: CAD 38.35–50.50 per hour according to the MHSW Central Alberta Collective Agreement.

What you will do
- Provide immediate treatment, advanced patient care, assessment, stabilization, and transportation to appropriate medical facilities.
- Make clinical decisions, lead each shift, and ensure ambulance and patient safety.
- Operate and maintain emergency vehicles, keeping equipment and vehicles ready for response.
- Work with PCPs and outside agencies, including in hazardous environments and patient extrication situations.
- Complete patient care reports, ePCRs, incident reports, and required documentation while protecting patient confidentiality.
- Participate in continuing education, quality assurance, community education, and professional development.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Alberta operator’s licence, class 1, 2, or 4.
- Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics.
- Completion of Alberta Health Services MCP requirements.
- Current CPR certification and FARE certificate.
- Good physical health and ability to lift and move heavy patients, work in hazardous environments, and respond to safety risks.
