Salary: CAD $37.25–$50.74 per hour under the PEMS Inc/HSAA Collective Agreement.

What you will do

  • Provide immediate advanced treatment and transport for sick and injured patients.
  • Lead ambulance shifts, make clinical decisions, and maintain safety throughout emergency responses.
  • Operate emergency vehicles, keep vehicles and equipment ready, and work in hazardous environments.
  • Coordinate patient care with PCPs, EMRs, hospitals, public agencies, and other response partners.
  • Complete patient care reports, electronic PCRs, incident reports, and required documentation.
  • Support continuing education, quality assurance, community education, and professional development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Alberta operator’s licence, Class 1, 2, or 4.
  • Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics.
  • Current Saskatchewan College of Paramedics registration is required for Lloydminster positions.
  • Completion of Alberta Health Services MCPs and a current CPR certification.
  • FARE Certificate required. Physical ability to lift and move heavy patients and work in hazardous environments is required.
