Master Compliance Engineer - EMC Regulatory and Energy Test Engineer (EMC)

Location: Onsite at an HPE office in Texas, United States

Salary: USD 135,000–310,500 annual base salary, plus possible variable incentives

What you will do

• Ensure compute products meet EMC, energy-efficiency, and global regulatory requirements.
• Consult on EMC-focused electrical and electronic hardware design, including PCB design reviews and emissions management.
• Develop test plans, perform electromagnetic interference and system power measurements, and debug hardware and energy-efficiency issues.
• Lead electrical engineering teams and coordinate with internal and outsourced development partners on complex product solutions.
• Execute EMC and energy tests in an ISO 17025 laboratory, including system setup, operating system and driver installation, firmware updates, calibration, and functional debugging.
• Maintain laboratory databases, quality-system infrastructure, network servers, test tracking, and final test reports.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in EMC engineering, energy-efficiency testing, regulatory compliance, and electronic hardware architecture.
• Hands-on experience working in an ISO 17025 environment and performing laboratory EMC testing.
• Knowledge of electrical design tools, testing methodologies, electromagnetic interference, power management, and hardware validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery in English required.
• Ability to communicate design proposals and negotiate technical options with business-unit and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lot9, ENERGY STAR, EPEAT, and OEM energy testing.
• Experience maintaining laboratory management and quality-system databases.
• Multiple patents in electronics packaging or a demonstrated history of innovation in electronics.
