TL;DR
Customer Service Manager (Aerospace): Leading customer service administration for aerospace and defense order fulfillment, contract administration, and end-to-end customer support with an accent on team leadership, KPI-driven operations, and customer satisfaction. Focus on standardizing order-to-delivery processes, solving escalated customer issues, and driving continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

Location: Onsite in Auburn, California, United States. Regular travel of 25–50% to Crane Aerospace & Electronics business sites is required. Access to controlled data may require the candidate to be a US Person under ITAR regulations.

Salary: $135,800–$182,100 annual USD.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including engineered flow-control products for mission-critical engine and APU systems.

What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Customer Service Administration team.
  • Manage contract administration, order fulfillment, and end-to-end customer support.
  • Use KPIs and operational metrics to monitor performance, identify gaps, and support the annual operating plan.
  • Allocate customer assignments and improve responsiveness and accuracy across order administration activities.
  • Standardize and improve the complete order-to-delivery process and customer experience.
  • Act as an escalation point and communicate the customer voice to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience, including 3+ years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of aerospace and defense order management, contract terms, manufacturing, people management, operational excellence, and lean office practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle knowledge is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in employee development, team building, business acumen, continuous improvement, project management, systems, and communication.
  • BS degree in Business or a related field.
  • US Person eligibility may be required for controlled data access under ITAR.
